Second Engineer | General Cargo Vessel | in 2 weeks

We invite an experienced Second Engineer to join a newbuilding general cargo vessel for an upcoming takeover. The ship is a 2026-built General Cargo Vessel of 16 800 GRT fitted with a MAN B&W 8S35ME-C9 main engine and operated by a German shipowner. Crewing is handled via Latvia and Crewplanet and the vessel will operate worldwide.

The assignment is a 4 month contract with sign-on in 2 weeks. Base salary is USD 7,906 per month with a published range up to USD 8,756. Additional payments include a seniority bonus starting at USD 150 for 2+ years in rank and increasing with further seniority, plus a USD 500/month rejoining bonus. We also provide health insurance during the contract, paid travel to and from the vessel, onboard internet access, and access to in-house simulators for advanced technical training.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certification and supporting documents and have at least 12 months experience serving as 2nd Engineer. Experience on GC, BC or MPP vessels is highly preferred.
