- 3+ years marine engineering or mechanical maintenance experience on small commercial vessels
- Competence in diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, fuel and basic electrical faults
- RYA Diesel Engine Course; MCA AEC - desirable
- Marine engineering qualification or timeserved apprenticeship - desirable
- Experience with marine diesels, outboards, hydraulics, steering and electrical systems - desirable
- First Aid and relevant commercial marine certification - desirable
