- At least 6 months at sea as Hotel Engineer or 2nd Engineer on a large cruise ship
- Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1-1 to 1-4)
- Crowd Management Training (STCW A-V/2-1)
- Training and experience in refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- STCW A-III/1 Certificate of Competency preferred
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English
- Compliant with vessel's mandatory vaccination requirements prior to joining
