Second Officer | General Cargo Vessel | in 2 months

We invite an experienced 2nd Officer to join a newbuilding general cargo vessel for an upcoming takeover. The ship is a 2026-built general cargo vessel of 16 800 GRT with a MAN B&W 8S35ME-C9 main engine and is managed by a German shipowner. We work with Latvian crewing and Crewplanet on this assignment.

The assignment is a 4-month contract. The base salary ranges from USD 3,840 to USD 4,340 per month. Additional payments include seniority bonuses (USD 100 for 2+ years in rank and USD 200 for 3+ years), a rejoining bonus of USD 100/month, and a higher license bonus of USD 100/month. We also provide health insurance during the contract, paid travel to and from the vessel, onboard internet access, and access to in-house simulators for advanced technical training.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certification and supporting documents and have at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer. Experience on general cargo, bulk carriers, or MPP vessels is highly preferred. EU candidates are preferred but not mandatory.
