Chief Mate | Oil/chemical tanker | 2026-11-16

We invite applications for the Chief Mate position on an oil/chemical tanker built in 2013, 11 733 GRT, fitted with a Mitsubishi-Akasaka 6UEC43LSII main engine (8 473 HP). The vessel operates worldwide with trade between the USA and Europe and is owned by a Netherlands shipowner; crewing is managed from Latvia and Crewplanet.

Contract and pay details: The assignment is advertised as a 3-4 month contract with Conditions listing a 4 month term. The salary range is 10 000 - 12 500 USD and is negotiable according to experience. The fleet has more than 20 vessels and the crew is mixed.

Candidate requirements: Applicants must have upper-intermediate English, strong chemical tanker experience (IMO II/III), and experience with stainless steel coated cargo tanks. Experience as a Chief Officer on chemical tankers is required. Holding Schengen and/or US visas is an advantage.
